New Guidebook!

We did it! “Slippery When Wet: A Guide to Canyoning the Sierra Nevada” is in print, and I have a literal ton of books at my house!

Over 250 pages, 60+ routes, hundreds of color photos, maps, and fine level detail on the art of figuring out flow in the Sierra!

Huge thanks to Valerie Huitzil for the design, and Daniel Elson for the cover photo (and most of the other really great photos in the book), and Jolie Varela for the forward! Also thanks to everyone who helped explore canyons and donated pictures!

$34.95. Net proceeds will be donated to San Bernardino Search and Rescue in memory of Luca, who was a big part of that team.

Where can you get it?

Currently, in the Eastern Sierra it is available at Mammoth Mountaineering, the Gear Exchange in Bishop, and Spellbinder Books in Bishop.

By next weekend, you should be able to find it at Alpenglow Gear in Oakhurst, Desert Rat or Adventure Plus in Saint George, or Alpenglow Sports in Tahoe City. If that doesn’t work for you, it should be available online at Bluugnome and CanyoneeringUSA soon. I’m working on getting some books to CanyonZone to have it available internationally.
